I have a MacBook Pro and was also torn between the air and pro when I got it....looking back now I wish I would have gotten the air, much lighter and smaller...thought I'd need the CD drive that i've used like 3 times in 13 months lol.

I'm still holding off on a new MBP waiting on the newer Air or what ever they call the next gen Pro. I like the Air design and if it has the muscle of the Pro IT'S MINE!

I'm afraid tho I will have to settle on a 15 inch version of something b/c I'm not expecting the 17" version to be first out/up.
I could do without the dvd drive easily and would love to knock off some pounds but keep speed/memory and screen res.

I am ok with not having a CD drive, but not having a gigabit ethernet port is really frustrating on the MBA. On top of the USB dongle being a pain to carry around and almost never having it when I truly need it, it's also not gigabit.
