    They had to. But the problem could easily be solved by the users. All they had to do was on iMessage remove the phone number or email address that the phone was linked to. Simple.

    No and no. On any device. Apple, Android..whatever. You should always sign out of ALL accounts. Then do the wipe.

    This has been an issue for most that have sales reps that don't know their product well enough. They're to busy worrying about the next sale than taking the time to give a good customer experience.

    Sorry there, that's what I meant, or should have said. I always (habit) sign out of every account before I reset or wipe any smartphone. You do that, and you'll never have problems switching from any OS.
