Some developers will have their apps killed. It only forces better things to come out as they will have to make even better apps. I'm excited to see what developers come out with this fall

Irrelevant to me, as I don't have one of those apps.

^^^Yes Chokem, what´s great here, is that iOS is going to have them, anyway. And then we´ll find the need to use them...

Irrelevant to me since I don't have an iPhone. I do however plan on using the new features on my iPad, but I don't always take it with me. My ipod touch is too old to get even 4.0, so can't wait to see what they come out with in the fall.

I do not have an iPhone either. However, what I would like to see is the death of all "apps". I feel that the only reason apps exist is because mobile browsers are not robust enough to perform the functions that desktop browsers do. Make the browsers on mobile devices as robust as those on desktop computers, and there is no need for apps.

Sure there's a need for apps.

For instance, Bellshare BlackBerry apps like BeBuzz. I loved having different colored notification LEDs for my various e-mail accounts. Just one example.

Yes, some apps still would be useful.

What I meant is one would not need sports score apps, if he could just get the live updates from ESPN.com or FOX Sports while having the pages open in the browser. A special NBA, NFL, or MLB app wouldn't be needed if a user could watch the games in his browser at their sites using the same subscription that he uses on his PC.

Netflix apps would not be needed if one used the full Netflix site.

There would be no need for Pandora and Slacker apps, if one could use the full site, like on a computer.

The full Facebook site could replace any Facebook apps.

    And so forth.
