9700 HOT after Charging

I just got my 9700 Thursday. This morning when I went to take the blackberry off the charger from charging overnight, the entire phone was very HOT. I never had this issue on any other bbs before. Does anyone have this issue? Do you think its defected?

That's not right. I would take it back and tell the store or C/S that you want a new one.

Yea, not normal. I can understand if you were on the phone while charging it.

Nope, shouldn't be getting that hot. If you're comfortable loading OS's you can try that. It may or may not solve your issue. In the land of mass production there will always be a few that don't turn out right, just the way it is.

Do you have a case on it, CS at AT&T in the past has blamed it on the device not being able to breathe, I found that funny since they sell the cases.

I got this resolved. It was not the phone. A friend of mines asked if I covered the bb. I do - I have it placed under my pillow for quick access. So I was advised to leave it uncovered. I did so and this morn after charging all night it was normal.

I didn't think of this because all my previous bb's are usual placed under my pillow and they didn't overheat.

And yes I also have a case on it but it's my 8900 case I'm using for the time being - which fits perfectly but of course the opening for the slots doesn't line up. So maybe this also plays a factor.

But still if these are not the reason I still went ahead and told Tmo of the issue and they are sending me a new one.
