I noticed the setting where you can change your phone from 1xEV to Global or GSM/3G. I noticed I got a higher speed on the Global setting, where as it is still running on 1xEV, and when you select 1xEV its just a little bit slower, but not by much.

I tried to switch to the 3G/GSM setting and the phone would not connect. As soon as I switch back to 1XEV, BAM it connects to the network.

The GSM/3G doesn't work here in the states. I read that it only works in other countries, I was uh that's gay.

    Edit:
Nevermind what I said about the battery, I think it is rather good. I used my phone a little on and off since I took it off the charger at 11am this morning and it is now 3pm. It went from 100% to 90% in 5 hours, with a couple phone calls, and some browsing on the internet. I think that's a pretty good battery life. Let's see how long it last's til tonight before I go to bed which is around the am range.

My Tour is up and running several hours now.

    Speed on TOUR 9630
    Connection Type: SPRINT NOW NETWORK
    Avg. Download Speed: 302.42Kbits/s
    Max. Download Speed: 716.19Kbits/s

    Avg. Upload Speed: 291.25Kbits/s
    Max. Upload Speed: 387.59Kbits/s

I'm extremely disappointed with the Download speed, but my upload speed is a super plus.

I'm not sure what I should believe now.

    Thumbs up

    Speed on TOUR 9630
    Connection Type: SPRINT NOW NETWORK
    Avg. Download Speed: 527.98Kbits/s
    Max. Download Speed: 636.17Kbits/s

I ran a few more tests and the results for download speed average higher.
The upload speed is consistant for the most part.

More speed to be done in San Francisco....
