I've downloaded and installed this new OS on our Test device, and, true to the release notes, it fixes the bug I reported shortly after the Tour came out:
Ability to view plain-text emails with attachments in your BlackBerry
Enterprise Server with the RSA SecureID application.
This is frankly huge for us, since it's basically prevented us from rolling out the Tour to our users since the RSA SecurID is required for our remote access setup. Now we finally have an upgrade path from the 8830. (The storm has not proved a popular device here.)
It doesn't record video. Get over it.

    OS 4.7.1.61 on the Tour

Hi, I had that on it did work well, but now I put the leaked 5.0.0.230 OS on, and that works way better the browser is faster, and battery life is better. There is also a newer 4.7.1. 75 at CBeyond a commercial Blackberry site , just Google CByound ,they do IT work and have the newer OS

Could the 5.0.0.411 be used on the Tour 9630? Has anyone tried this?
I am thinking about taking the plunge and going to Verizon due to some recent problems with AT&T.

Just curious -- how can you tell what version you are running now? Thanks.

    Thank you.

So, stupid question, should I upgrade to this new OS? I come from the school of "if it ain't broken, don't fix it, don't attempt to make it better, don't do anything", LOL.

    Got it. Thanks.

    Does anyone know:

    1) What bugs this was supposed to fix, or what improvements there might be?

    2) What's the safest way to download this?

    Thank you again.
