Ok, so this is a totally new one on me...
Does anyone know what updating your data profile means?
Apparently that's what I had to do. And it was done rather quickly when the phone got to the sprint store.

Kinda sounds like it was something on your account. Nothing to do with the device itself.

The guy typed something into the phone and minutes later it was working.
My girlfriend doesn't know much about blackberry's so she didn't really ask any questions but she did her best to remember what he said but all she could remember was, "he (me) needs to update his data profile."

Then he picked up the phone typed something in and it started communicating.
