BBM 5.0 troubles

i had BBM 5.0 since the leak and it worked fine. about a week ago it started acting funny. it wont open anymore. i went back to the old BBM but i miss 5.0, i tried it again and the same thing is happening. i need help ASAP!!!

It has been occasionally buggy for me too, but a battery pull usually fixes it. I also had it decide to not let me add anyone by PIN and if I entered a PIN for a new contact it treated it like an email address which would of course fail. I had to delete and re-install to get it to work.

Strange that the re-install didn't work, maybe try it again, maybe from a different source if you can find one. Did you download/install anything new around the time it started acting up, or upgrade your OS or anything?

im not sure

i think there might be anothr probgram on my berry screwing with it. but none of them should b. no other programs i have deal with bbm. i jsut downloaded from a different source, so im waiting for my phone to reset and c if it works. is there a way to disable the automatic wireless contact recovery feature and jsut do it from DM?

So does it freeze up in the middle of that? DO you get any pop-up errors? Any errors in the event log? Does changing your recovery email default address help?

it freezes up in the middle of it, but its working now...so hopefully im good to go...but ill b back if im not haha

Anyone else having problems with trying to load the chat history? It was working fine for ages and now seems to be hanging on "loading..."
