| This case makes number three for me from Vaja. ![]() Vaja continually comes through over and over with superb craftmanship. When I initially ordered this case, I was so excited that I didn't even look at the pics...I went straight to customize and that was all she wrote. Then a friend brought up the fact that it had a screen. The one on the Pearl didn't...so I guess I was just assuming that it would be the same. I was a little bummed once I went back and checked out the pics, but I was still psyched and sooo impatient on getting it in the mail Well, it arrived yesterday (and lemme tell you, fedex didn't leave it on my porch like normal, so I drove 65 miles roundtrip in rush hr traffic to go pick it up from fedex )So, here are the money shots ![]() ~ the fit is VERY snug (i did leave my BSE screen skin on) ~ smells sooo good i love the smell of leather ![]() ~ tried to get a closeup so you can see how thick the screen is The mic hole is covered in a screen mesh as well as the hole for the ear speaker. the plastic screen is sewn into the leather, stretching completely to the top and acts as a shield over the led too, making it almost 'tempered'. The same material from the screen covers/protects the flash part of the camera, but not the lens itself. So, here's my list of cons with reasons: 1) screen is taking some getting used to. when scrolling up, my thumb continues to scrape it. its also lifted slightly, so dust and such gets under it very easy. the verdict is still out on whether i might take an exacto knife to it....if i do, i will post back in this thread. 2) the lip under the space bar is super annoying. like i noted, i hope it forms to the bb over time/wear. 3) the bottom corners and top are exposed - meaning they could get scratched up. just fyi... This case is still, by far, the best one out for the curve. Its 100% classy, customizable and still completely functional. www.vajachoice.com www.vajacases.com Retail price starting: 60$ Customize with logo or text: 30$/10$ With or without clip (and two different kinds to choose from) 2 different style leather Over 30 colors to choose from Last edited by cherrichiodo; 09-06-2007 at 08:43 PM. |

Nice review, cherri! I am still holding off ordering the Vaja case but did order a case from ebcases to see if this will suit me better. I don't like to have the plastic screen protector because I know my thumb will always hit the lower part of the protector when I use the trackball. The link for ebcases is http://www.ebcases.com/-strse-3390/e...lip/Detail.bok Maybe once my case arrives, I will post a mini-review. Last edited by DocGo; 09-06-2007 at 09:41 PM. |

Very nice review Cherri... Mine should be arriving Monday. I'm not sure if I'm liking that screen protector thing either. Let me know if you exacto it off. Otherwise it's a real looker |

![]() i took photos last night, but the lighting was horrible. today, with the natural light and skylight in bedroom, they came out really nice and i use the 'best shot' mode for taking pics of text (i used to sell stuff on ebay )Quote:
if you didn't get any personalization, and don't like the screen, i personally would send it back...its too pricey to not be 100% satisfied Last edited by cherrichiodo; 09-06-2007 at 09:56 PM. Reason: merged posts |

Great review with pics. One thing I might have a problem living without though is the sleeper function of the OEM case. That really saves my battery during the day.

Nice review thanks, I really like vaja products and have owned a few mostly ipod cases, i would prefer if the screen protection was an optional extra, I am more than satisfied with a shieldzone/BSE. I am not a fan of the classic style cases like this one (although it is still by far the best curve case available) I will only buy one if they release an i-volution style curve case. Thanks again and you did a good job with the pics |
