Review: VAJA Balance for 8100 - Custom Leather Case

So most of you stackers know how long I have been waiting on this case...since I bought my Pearl!! (I had a Vaja case when I had my 7100g)

I have bought pretty much every case they have on the market for the Pearl. I have RIM skins, eBay skins, hard snap on cases, leather cases, pouches...you name it. The OEM RIM skin has been my favorite up until now.

The craftmanship on this case is hands down OVER THE TOP. I can't find one single flaw. The leather is beautiful. It actually smells like leather and not some imitation

Of course, I did have to wait 25 days to manufacturer. And it was well worth the wait.

The case is open face. The glare you see here is from my BSE protection that I have on the screen. The keyboard face is wider, so those of you who have had issues hitting those bottom corner keys with the other leather cases won't have this issue.

The edges are rounded and makes for a more comfortable hold and a better fit, as the Pearl just slides in.

The earspeaker and the mouth speaker openings are covered in screen and the led is covered with a 'tempered' kind of clear plastic.

The camera is covered with a thin, but strong plastic (not like what would cover a screen, but stronger thin type plexiglass) with a small hole cut out for the camera lens.

The convenience keys are actually covered. They have some sort of material to fit the shape of the key so that when you press it, it fits right in with the key (I know I could be more articulate, but I can't find the words

This case ROCKS...period. I will NEVER have a need to buy another case - that is, of course, unless I buy a few more colors

This case is called the Vaja Balance. It retails starting at $60. It comes in 17 different colors including PINK!! The case you see here is Rio Red. You can monogram with text for an extra $10 or monogram with your company logo or graphic for an extra $30.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Nice case. I just posted a thread about being bored with my current pearl cases and not hearing back from another manufacturer of a case I was interested in. My only question is this: do ALL the cases take 25 days to manufacture?

I am pretty sure that the 25 days is for monogram only.

What I also forgot to mention is that this case comes without clip, or two different variations of clips. Obviously this case shown is without.

does the ring get muffled at all? ive been thinking about buying one of these but hesitated cus the last case i got made it hard for me to hear my phone ring.

^^ its not bad at all....BUT - i have the seidio ext slim battery and speaker opening case

so that does help, im sure. notice the top doesn't 'close' but the rounded edge and custom fit keep the pearl in tight
