Review:Privacy Screen Pro for Blackberry by Case-Mate

    Verdict: Excellent accessory
Pros: Easy Installation, Resistant to Scratches, No visibility constraints for users.
Cons: Difficult to keep screen clean
    URL: www.case-mate.com
    Price: $14.99
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5

Are you tired of people trying to look at what you are doing on your phone? Or simply, do you have something to hide? (Not in a bad way of course.) If the answer to any of the questions is yes, the Privacy Screen Pro by Case-Mate is for you.
Personally, I was not much of a believer in privacy screens. The additional privacy was not worth the decreased visibility. It still is not worth it and with the Privacy Screen Pro by Case-Mate, user visibility is not sacrificed. The only persons who experience decreased visibility are the ones who are not operating the device. In other words, this privacy screen does its job very well.
The only problem experienced with the privacy screen, is keeping the screen clean. After installation, by a stroke of bad luck, a spec of dust was discovered between the phone screen and the privacy screen. All my attempts to remove it have been futile. I am learning to ignore it because it is a great feeling to use my phone knowing no one can read anything on the screen.
In conclusion, the Privacy Screen Pro by Case-Mate is a must-have accessory for those who want to deter those spying eyes.

This is a GREAT Accessory as I have it for my BB.....
I heard about this along time ago and should have done a post on it as well.

Very cool! I wonder if they have one for my laptop? I guess I can get rid of my "spy" sunglasses with the little mirrors on them!

    "privacy screen" already built in

There is a "privacy filter" type function already in the BB. Go here:

Options -> Security Options -> General Settings -> Message Background Colours

This will help prevent people from easily reading your messages. Granted the actual screen has more privacy, but this is a cheaper option...

Now, the question I have is, would this be applicable in addition to my Invisible Shield that is on it's way?

    thats a good question...

If this functioned as a screen protector also, I'd definitely buy one!

For sure, but I just dropped $19 on the Invisible Shield solely for the purpose of scratch protection. If it can be coupled with the Invisible Shield in some way, I'll be all over this.

Hmm... This might only be enabled if you're on a BES... Anyone else try?

I, too, have the privacy screen. It is a great product and after a few days you don't notice the VERY slight degradation of the image. Great screen protector as well.

Yeah, I also have that one but only use the belt clip as for the other part. It scrapes your battery cover and it's not so handy when trying to type. Makes it difficult to reach the letters located in the corners . However; great case. Oh btw, it does wear off very easily with constant use of the holster being pulled out every time.
