NotNow is a simple beta software that allows users to ignore an incoming call and quickly send a pre-written SMS to the caller. This is the only function of NotNow. This is a convenient feature for a user to have on their device, but it is not a necessity. Which brings me to the major drawback; this program is not free. Also, it is a beta software, which means that it is not the final product. Don't get me wrong, this is a good program, but IMO we should not be charged for it. If NotNow gave users the option to send e-mails or even PIN messages along with SMS messages, it could be a great program.
My suggestions to Toysoft: Offer the current Beta for free and make a premium/paid version customizable... giving users the options to send E-mails and PIN messages and no just SMS messages.
Overall, NotNow is a good program, but not worth the money in its current state.
Agreed. You should not charge for beta, after all the whole premise of a beta is to have others help in developement and ideas to make your product better, not charge them for it just so you can make some money! Just my 2cts.
Good review, I like it when people tell you what they think of a app.
re: Review: NotNow Beta (Trial Version) for Blackberry
What is the cost of Notnow? I don't see the price anywhere. I could see myself paying up to $5 for the final version.
Just waht I stated in the NotNow Post...after finding out I am being charged after 7 days for a beta-ware, I say;"NotNOW"....-lol!
Is there any other software 4 that?
Cuz I need it, but I don't wanna buy this ****.

Agreed on every point here...
This functionality is standard in many phones today... and they aren't all smartphones - offering the basic SMS service as a free app is a good idea (and 1 that I imagine another developer will capitalize on and simply accept donations to make a few bucks)... I'd donate for the effort, but as said - I can do this with a extra step after the call is ignored...
No reason to pay for that

A very well written review. Thank you. Toysoft seems to have a track record for releasing Beta versions of their product with 7 day trials and a " buy it or forget you attitude".
Just my 2 cents.. your individual mileage may vary.
You can never have too much gas, unless you are on fire.
Do u know any other (better) software like that?
I really need it.

I don't go to meetings. I am rarely in a position where I have to actually ignore a phone call, and when I do, I don't ever need to send the person a text message explaining why I just ignored them. In 10, 15...maybe 45 minutes later, I just call them back and they'd be fine with it. Besides, not every person that calls me isn't calling from a cell, and even every person in my address book WITH a cell phone likes to actually get texts. Nice idea for an app, but not worth downloading, and I can't believe its a pay app. I'm good enough with my BB that I could quickly and discreetly send a text to someone without this. My .02.
