It will still show activity and updating because it is updating the album art as the songs change. The app was originally to be used while listening to a radio ie the car or home stereo and having a way to show album art and get song info.

I guess because I used this before they added streaming I never thought to include how to play......maybe I'll edit it later

Glad you got it all working fine now Jblackfish, same thing happened to me the first few times I used it.

Something that would be really cool...the ability to send the station to another Nobex user. I got my G/F to download the app, but I can't remember which genre I found the station in for her to listen to.

Also I would like if the main screen that first shows your stations (menu key) had maybe two lines per station or something more than the call letters. I have about 6 or 8 stations loaded up, and I get confused with all the call letters.

Have you figured out how to add the other playable stations? There are quite a few and some really good ones at that.
Not yet - I didn't see the point in trying since I couldn't listen to it anyway. I'll give it a shot soon though.

That's no problem but, for dopes like me (and evidently the cowboy - no offense cowboy ) it's necessary to show how to turn the thing on.

I notified Nobex support too. Maybe they'll include that info somewhere in a later release. Thanks again to all of you.

Found a couple of other very useful things..

I am able to surf and stream at the same time, web pages load a bit slower but it didn't seem to interfere with the stream horribly.

Also, and this is my favorite, my phone has the security policy in effect that automatically locks the phone and then encrypts after 15 minutes of no activity...my phone encrypting the data had no effect on the stream. It never stopped! With moodio, the stream would stop as soon as my phone locks...

Also one you failed to mention is that it will still stream while holstered. This is a very cool app and if they do start charging for it and its not outrageous it will be well worth it.

If they stick to what they hinted at to me for price then I think most users will find it quite reasonable. We'll have to wait and see.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

i already liked the app just for being able to name and send a link to purchase songs from my BB, but now with the streaming function it's even better!
stations come in very clear compared to Moodio even over WAP (be sure to set your TCP for your carrier)
i just hope when they charge it's not gonna be too much, i think it should remain free and Nobex should get a small percentage if /when people use the app to purchase songs via the Get It! function, my 2cents

OK well played with this for the last 3 hours, and I had to do a battery pull twice, one time while it was playing all of a sudden it blacked out the screen and put up a solid red LED then the second time i believe I had an email or something come in, and it just froze up, even let it set for 15 mins and still nothing.

Now my wifes phone, it works great and all but it wont play though her headphones, might be because they are not the original ones? dunno, but media player does play, and she tried 2 different sets.

Now im on my third battery pull, after I tried it out with my bluetooth, headphones, it played for about 15 seconds then killed the bluetooth connection (terminated) and then it locked up again.

I have nothing else running in the background.. No peekawho or anything like that.

Wow rashard, that's a lot of issues! I can listen for hours on my stereo bt without it terminating and I just tested with a pair of Sony earbuds and it played through them just fine. I have only had it totally reboot on me once, but I had a lot going on at once on my bb at the time.

Shoot an email to their customer support with your device and OS info and the issues you had. They will look into it and advise you about remedies.

Yeah, I think my wifes issues is just with her phone, because mine works fine with head phones, we have the same model n OS, cept hers is red n mine silver.

But on mine I was able to listen to it and sent my self a couple songs, and it worked for an hour n half straight.... drained the heck out of my battery, but it works, just as long as I dont try to do anything else.

Thumbs up

This is one fine app- sometimes it takes more than one attempt to play, but it is definately livable. Kudos

This is the best internet radio app I've used yet! Its cool that I can listen to a bunch of great stations from across the country...but its cooler that I have a radio in my pocket. Finally, I don't have to lug around my clock radio to and from work. If this keeps working the way it has been for me, I won't mind paying a subscription fee.
