Verdict: A great alternative to Slacker and similar software.
Pros: Free, Ability to scan stations across the U.S. GPS equipped devices are able to detect local stations. Better than Slacker ?
Cons: Not available for the STORM Yet. Lack of GPS or a GPS signal can be a crutch but it doesn't completely take away from the experience.

    Price: Free (Undefeated!)
    Overall rating: 4/5

I searched the boards here and I didn't see meniton or review of this software. If missed the post....then apologies. I have to say that even though I only stumbled across this app today I really like it...and it's free!

As stated with this software, I love the ability to be able to randomly scan stations across the country. I'm not well versed with slacker, but, I love this option......And, of course it contains the basic: favorites, and tags.

Of course, there are the normal breakdown of categories and subcategories:

Overall, for now, this one is a keeper for me. Make sure your signal (ie/wifi/EDGE/3G) is descent to really enjoy the experience. Give it a whirl there's nothing to loose

I just downloaded it. Don't know if it was just the one station I was trying to listen to, but the stream kept getting interrupted......irritatingly so.

I've been having the same problem with Nobex, though, but not as bad with this application. Didn't have a problem before with Nobex until the past couple of times I've tried using it so maybe something has changed here at work to cause the interruption, but it's hard to enjoy music with it keeps getting interrupted!

Thanks for this I will check it out.

Rogro, nobex is making changes, I'll let you know when would be a good time to try it again

Nice app... downloaded it last night... not picking up alot of the stations from my area which I could easily listen to on MyCast. Love the look of the app, but a station and city update is definitely needed, or at least the option to add your own station from a URL link or something would be nice. I think I'll keep this app... for now.

I'm going to check this one out too - I can't resist a new streaming radio ap. FYI, I just discovered Pandora and been checking it out on my P-C. It's only available for iPhone, certain Windows mobile, etc. NOT the Blackberry (yet?)

I had the same issue also. It hasn't gotten to the point of being irritating yet.

    Well, the responses are interesting.

I like slacker because I have no problems on my phone and I can log-in and listen to it on PC or laptop. Will continue to check up on this.

Its working pretty well on my 8900 here in the sticks. City wasn't in the options (no surprise), but a random station came in well with a little buffering

Very irritating for me. I mean it was like every 15 seconds or so.

Oh, I'll definitely give it another try. I really like the looks of it. The UI is a little hard to figure out, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

I would love to check this out on my BlackBerry, hopefully Storm support is soon. I may try and finagle a workaround perhaps
