Downloaded the trial version yesterday, so far I love it with one exception. The "Preloaded" alarm sounds are too soft for me. (I am a sound sleeper.) So this AM I selected a song "From File". It loaded fine, HOWEVER, there is no sound when I hit "Test Alarm Sound".

What did I do wrong, or miss?

Don't know, when I loaded mine from file it worked fine.

Did you allow the permissions when you downloaded the alarm?

Strange. Have you tried the typical reinstall and reboot? It's worth the time/hassle, this is a really useful little application.

If you check the update I posted it mentions that the button highlighting issue will be fixed in the new version being released oosainly this weekend.

Hi jlphotog,

One reason you may not hear the alarm sound is if your BlackBerry permissions are configured to block third-party applications from accessing this functionality. To correct this we need to enable all application permissions.

To change these, go to Options - Advanced Options - Applications and scroll down and highlight "BBSmart Alarms Pro". Select "Edit Permissions" from the menu and for all 3 permissions (Connections, Interactions, User Data) set the permission to "Allow".

This should correct the problem.

We've seen this one occur a couple of times now...it's very odd and personally I haven't been able to reproduce it. Having said that however, I think we can come up with a way to fix this. Should be in v1.1.

Also, if you don't mind would you be able to PM me with your contact details (an email addy is fine). It would be great to get you on board for testing of this next version since you've encountered this problem - I've got no problem throwing a free copy your way if you haven't purchased it yet.
