    I would love to use this software but I'm running into a problem.

    I was able to download and install version 1.1, but upon startup I get the following error:

    class java.lang.SecurityException javax.microedition.io.Connector.http

    I'm able to continue past but I get no sound and seemingly no connection from any of the loaded stations even after adjusting the settings multiple times.

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with multiple battery pulls in between. I'm running tmobile OS 4.2 and have no other problems with java appsl, ie opera. I am on the tmobile unlimited blackberry internet plan. My apn setting is set to wap.voicestream.com.

    Any help would be much appreciated

    STOP!

    i just wanted to let everyone know that ANY radio station, i mean any, can be played through radiobee. you just setup a shoutcast server, and you can stream any sound you want to your phone. check it out, look into how to setup a shoutcast server. once you do, its nothing more then having your own internet radio station that broadcasts in mp3. it works good, too bad radiobee cannot stream for more then 5min before freezing up. we need radiobee updates! get this program stable, its a godsend for the pearl and other capable phones that dont have the right software.

    Re: RadioBee: A New Buzz In The BlackBerry World

    New to BB Pearl.. Downloaded radiobee and after reading the thread and trying everysetting, still cant get any station to stream for more than 5 seconds before just timing out...have set the apn for tmobile to wap.voicestream.com as I saw and set rates to the following as I saw recommended in other threads (N8DBB)
    chunck size 1024
    buffer size 250000
    debug level 1
    min play 45000
    timeout 1 32
    timeout 2 128
    buffer type basic

    Tried with ESPN, others.. same issue starts no problem, goes for 5 seconds then just stops... shows status ok but nothing happens afterwards.. then need to stop application and restart..

    Any suggestions.. thanks in advance

    Question Blackberry Pearl Java Security Exception Error!!

    I have same problem as Iceman98. I have Blackberry Pearl with TMo in Los Angeles. The first thing I get when clicking the mRadioMidlet icon is:

    class java.lang.SecurityException javax.microedition.io.Connector.http

    If I continue past that, I can click on radio stations, but nothing ever loads. It seems that that first error message is trying to tell us.... SOMETHING!

    My apn setting is wap.voicestream.com

    WHAT ELSE CAN I DO??!!

    Re: RadioBee: A New Buzz In The BlackBerry World

    I have tried this one and had very limited success. The two bottom, pre-loaded, stations work just fine. All others are silent. I have tried adding my own and had total silence from them. These same stations belch out the music on either RealPlayer or other, non-BB, media player.

    Examples:
    http://38.119.49.140:8010
    http://207.200.96.226:8054

    Also, the "killer settings" seem not to work. One of the pre-loaded stations will not say a thing with those settings. If I revert, then everything is fine. BB Pearl, is my thing.

    Re: RadioBee: A New Buzz In The BlackBerry World

    RadioBee is awesome! I installed it on my Pearl last night, and am now currently listening to Groove Salad for the past hour or so. Good times! This was literally one of the only features that I missed when I dropped my Dash for the Pearl back in November. Only thing that would make this better is someone to write an XM Radio Online or Sirius Online streaming program. That would be tops!
