    iGo slim Bluetooth keyboard

So I was on Amazon the other day when I. Found this keyboard which I'm typing on
right now. Its' purpose is to give your cell an almost full size fold away
    keyboard.

So opening the package it comes in one of those impossible plastic things where
you have to cut it open, then the keyboard itself had an obnoxious sticker on it
which has to be removed with goo gone.

Installing it was fairly simple I had to go to the website that makes the board
and download the driver for the BlackBerry Pearl from there it was very simple
    ABC instructions.

Actualy using the bored is really simple and quite refreshing. The fun thing is
the suretype still fixes things like making contractions etc.

The windows looking key on the bored is how you navigate without touching the
Pearl at all, I can seriously do everything without touching the pearl. Also the
holder for the phone works really well. While your at it you can hit alt left fn
and the numbers 1-9 after you set them up ot be used as hotkeys.

It folds up pretty nicely and goes into it's own little Carrying case.

Edit silly me it's only 30 bucks now.

Heres the link for it http://www.amazon.com/Stowaway-Ultra.../dp/B0002OKCXE

    So scores
Packaging 3/10 ---Goo gone to make the product look stock? Also it has an unfinished look to it
Workability 9/10 -- It seriously sped up my typing speed and I'm pretty fast with Suretype
Key feeling/ compatibly 10/10 Everything feels fine and with the Drivers it works great

So Overall I definitely recommend7b this keyboard, if not for your phone then a mobile car computer or something.

The pictures, PS yes I used an Ipod video in the holder because the 8100 was the Cam and the other pic is a comparison to a Nintendo DS

Thumbs up Re: iGo slim Bluetooth keyboard

I went ahead and purchased this keyboard also. I had been looking at it for awhile but was unwilling to pay the over $100 price I found everytime I searched for it. It works great and I wish I had gotten it sooner. The packaging is a real pain but after that it is clear sailing. Last week Amazon.com ran out of this item at the $29.99 price and substituted another seller of the same item but for $59.99. I noticed that Amazon got some more in and priced them same as last week. For what it's worth - I highly recommend it!

Yupper after tinkering with it some more the only problem I've found is one never close it without turning it off in it's own program, make sure you terminate the driver everytime.

    Re: iGo slim Bluetooth keyboard

There's a big discussion over at the Amazon reviews about the keyboard's compatibility with the newer Blackberry's (8310, 8320, Pearl's). I don't seem to have permission to post the link to the discussion in these forums, so just search the reviews for "blackberry" under that product.

I have an 8310 and was wondering if anyone has had experience pairing this keyboard with a similar device? The iGo website lists the 8300 as the only Curve that's being supported, and I can't seem to grasp a clear and solid review that the keyboard works with the 8310. Either there's pairing/connection and driver issues, or that the BT connection drops once in a while.

Can anyone else share their experiences?

    Re: iGo slim Bluetooth keyboard

I am very new to this whole BB thing and am currently a little frustrated Can anyone tell me how you may have downloaded the driver for the iGo Bluetooth keyboard?? I really would like to not have to buy another keyboard if at all possible. In reading some messages, it looks to me like a few have been able to get it to work. I have the Pearl... Any help would by VERY appreciated! Thanks

ps... I have been to iGo's site and downloaded to my computer the driver that is supposed to work with my phone. The problem is getting it from there to my phone. I keep getting an error when I try to add any programs from the BB Desktop Manager.
