| here is a quick overview of it the Beta version... Testing Unit: 8700g OS: 4.1.0.316 Platform: 2.0.0.133 Network: Edge First off, it takes about 4-5 minutes to download a 1:30 clip. I am guessing they are in the process of making these clips easier to download (FYI, I am obviously on edge and have a full signal right now, and others will verify this). There are only 3 clips avaliable right now for testing, each looking about a minute and a half in length... Note: This will SLOW your Blackberry down a significant amount while you are downloading the clips...This again will probably be rectified when its released, however for those that are going to try the BETA version, be prepared for the hourglass to be appearing while switching between menus. The video player itself looks pretty decent...Play, Pause, Volume Options...The sound is nice and clear. The video graphics are kinda grainy, but not bad by any means... The beta link was found earlier by a fellow stacker (Tprime), so I am sure there are going to be plenty of replies to this post as people start to check this out... I simply wanted to get it on here as quick as possible before competing websites launch the information also. EDIT: Pictures added as attachments! Tested also and it works great on my 8700g. Quality is isn't exceptional however I was able to chat on BB messenger, compose and send an email with SonaMobile playing in the background. This is great no being restricted to the player only and speak well of the xscale processor. Would like to see how a better quality video clips would affect this. Download via GPRS took - 8 or 9 mins. of the 1:30 clips. 30 second clips at edge or EVDO would be best. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I also just tried the link thanks to N8. Im rather impressed with the quality of the video with sound. I also have to agree with Hydn. But overall im impressed. The quality was better than I expexted. And as N8 said, it does slow your berry way down while downloading a clip. But as stated, this is the beta stage. I hope these problems are addressed. Even if they were not changed, I see myself using it a lot. And not just for the novelty of it either. I really see a use for this in the long run. So on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best. I give this a 4.5. |

I'm in agreement with most of you. Better than I expected, but still needs work. I would be interested in the $ they are going to charge for this, and the accessibility for 3rd party video. Not a terrible d/l speed at all. I think they could have increased their positive feedback had they used the Paris Hilton clip as a trial.... =)

One video clip downloaded fine, and played. On the second clip, I got a timeout when trying to download. Now, it's stuck in "Downloading". When I click on the menu to cancel download, I get "uncaught exception: javalang null pointer exception". I tried re-downloading it after I rebooted the BB, but now I have 2 of same title stuck... |

Just a question, and probably the answer will be no, but: Has anyone happened to have lost the ability to send/receive email after loading this program? Just trying to retrace my steps to see if the lost emails are something I caused or a problem with the service... |

I have sent and received emails fine. Data, Delete the one you dont want by going to options, advanced options, applications, then click the trackwheel, and the select delete. You may have to delete both of them and re-download, as you might not be able to tell which one is the "good" one. Also, be sure to reboot your device before re-downloading. Goodluck! |

Todd, The video files were the ones duplicated, not the app... but I went ahead and removed the app per your instructions and will redownload the app and video. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~The one problem I found was if your download is interrupted and you have a partial download, the dropdown menu gives you no option to delete partial clip. I've used it a few days now and after you'll have to delete old clips every few days. But its still Beta and they have an address to offer fedback. |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Also while using my BB seems to function as normal. Its a litte slow whilw downloading video but once the download is finish it works fine. During playback I can still receive phone calls and messages no problem. The controls are pretty good.

Tprime, I agree, once it finishes downloading it goes no problem...but what do you mean by an interrupted download? What was interrupting you? Incomming calls?

My unit slows down as well, 7130e, but the clips download pretty fast. I would say 45 to a minute for me, max.
