Pinstack Database Of Lost And/Or Stolen Devices

This post is for devices which have been lost or stolen, to give the information here so that there is a record on the site.

This may help you recover your device in the future, as it may appear on eBay, in classifieds listings, etc.

Give as much information about the device as possible, such as:

    Device Type
PIN # (found on the box and device)
Last 6 of IMEI # (found on the box and device)
    Accessories
    Any registered 3rd party applications
    Location and date
Any additional information that you may be able to provide.

If even 1 stolen or lost device can be reunited with it's owner through this post, it will be worth it...

8830 Bell Mobility Stolen from Diesel House in Toronto around 10pm last night August 7th 2007.

BB was wearing a pink silicone skin with a clip. Plenty of pics and MP3's in it. I hope whoever took it likes Cantonese pop music!

    BB has been recovered.

    Thanks!

Have you Reported the theft to your carrier, so that you aren't charged for the calls.

    Device: T-Mobile Blackberry 8100 (white)
    PIN: 2419FE29
    Last 6 of IMEI: 541744
    Accessories: Pink silicon case
Location: Walmart, St. George, UT May 2, 2008 approximately 1:10pm

My wife left her phone in her shopping cart. She put the cart in the cart return and, after remembering she left the phone in the cart, she came back 3 minutes later. The phone was already gone. She checked with lost and found and it hasn't been turned in. No calls have been made from it yet.

this is exactly why I spent a few dollars on find it!!! I just send an e mail requesting the location and I get one, unless the device is off. you gsm users should lock the sim to the device or use the app that lets you know when the sim is changed , it sends a text when it is changed so you can track the new owner/thief by the number sent to you or some one else .its free if you search. then you can call them up repetedly and bother them to the point their sim is usless, and when it changes again it will send the new number again and so on eventully some one will give it back. another useful hint is set the device to lock after a set period of time and promt for the password. at this point the device would have to be wiped. but you can not connect with out the password so again the device is usless excpt for parts. there are many solutions to theft or loss of devices.
maybe I am just cautious ,but it seems worth the effort to deny use of my device and data to unathourized users
