    Question Windows Mobile Vs. Linux

Good evening everyone......This is my first post / thread, so if I screw up, please don't hang me .

I have been told by a somewhat reliable source that the smartphone's OS, in this case Windows
Mobile can be changed to a Linux Based OS.

Is it possible? If so, I'm willing to put my HTC 8525 to the test.
I love the phone, but the OS reminds me of Windows ME (Miserable Experience)!!!

Anyway, if any of you phone Gurus (and I'm using the term Guru affectionately, not as a smart a@$)
would like to give me your opinion, please drop me a note.

    Cordially yours ya'll

Had to look into this and apparently it can be a real pain. I would suggest simply buying a device with Linux loaded on it. You can check out LinuxDevices for a list. If you really want to go about this, there is a compilation of guides here, that list by device manufacturer. Let us know how this goes for you.

Hello Hayden.......Sorry I have not had the chance to "chat" with ya'll........My granddaughter was in town for the past 3 weeks. Needless to say, I've been busy between work & home. At any rate I have not had the chance to try the Linux software, but, I have acquired a BB Storm, unlocked, & just updated the service books with AT&T. I'm in absolute BB heaven......totally, absolutely awesome........AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH is all I can say.......Got to go.......we'll post later....GOD Bless.
