I will get the new customer pricing, but still seems kind of cheap on Sprints part. Either way loyalty is not rewarded, just given the impression it is.

boy and I that we (south africans) were ripped off with contracts. personally I admire norway just for this, on there contracts it like 0.01 buck per month...perhaps I'm missing something but it still sounds sweet.

KTW, I have a contract. It's a sweet one I think. Good value. But for services only.
I don't have and I'll never have a ball and chain or any "sponsored" smartphone attached to it and then be forced to accept their crap. I can change phones as I wish. And if some other carrier offers me a better price and service I'll switch in an instant.

With Gold and Premier being cut, Sprint has essentially dumped on its longtime customers. I have been hoping Network Vision will improve as the move to LTE, but it is hard to overlook what they do to customers sometimes.

With wimax going to EOL, everyone will have to upgrade at some point. I would say 2 years after LTE launch you will be needing a new device regardless of desire for one. Guess Sprint feels they have you backed into a corner.

I will not pay $350 for a device, well...maybe. Hate to speak in absolutes....

Would you be able to get a better deal with VZW?

I have looked at it, but its the unlimited that gets me. It is our only connection to the world. Only way I get ROMs. I will just do what they expect and suck it up.
