    Video format support: MPEG4 Part 2 Simple Profile, H.263, WMV - That's directly off thee bb site for the 8220. You should be able to support DivX, XviD , WMV3 and MPEG4 encoding and decoding 30fps (additionally listed on the 8900), plus a few other formats. MPEG4 seems to work the best on blackberries though (for me at least).

    for 8310's is there any way to change the max file size? or is 15 mb the most any one file can be?

    Putting video's on the phone just doesn't seem like it's worth the work....maybe I'm just very lazy...yes I am very lazy.

    Playback of a video installed on your SD card isn't limited to 15mb. Actually, it's not really limited at all. Putting videos on your device is actually very simple. Either insert your SD card into your PC and drag and drop, or just connect the device, enable Mass Storage Mode, and then drag and drop.
