umm, not really. I never really heard of viruses running on BB's. I know when you reset the phone it does a security check. What kind of check? i dont know,

There are currently no known viruses for the Blackberry device. It cannot be infected by a Windows virus as it does not run Windows code, so emails containing malicious code that would otherwise cripple a PC will not affect a BB device.

Hi and welcome to Pinstack. I can help better if I know the device and carrier you are using. Also, how are you trying to install it, through Desktop Manager? Lastly, what errors are you receiving when you install it?

Ok, you'll probably want to try and upgrade the OS to a newer version, which should install BBM for you. You can find the newest OS' for you device here. Follow the instructions in the guide here and you'll have a newer OS with newer features and hopefully BBM.
