Thats about right for a typical 2G connection. Not sure there is much you can do to speed it up...

Your device is accessing pages that are optimized for mobile browsing, so they load faster.

you can change the connection speed in the properties tab. I have not seen any differance with changing the settings . I have done speed tests and get a over two meg over half the time.. I stream video to my pc via sprints network and side by side tests against comcast show me sprint has come a long way . I get faster short term speeds but on large files the cable connection does a bit better..in short I wouldnt use an air card ever as the berry plan is almost half the price and the cable providers use a shared connection and when too many users are on it really drags..
been using the berry modem for several years and i have a true unlimited data plan so i never see any extra charges. is a small reward for suffering the merger and the snafu that was the integration of the two billing systems

Sometimes it really depends on the phone you are using. And of course you can't do something to speed it up. Anyway, what model do you use?
