I want to purchase a smartphone to upgrade from my flipphone I've had for four years. There is one attribute that is most important to me. What is the best smartphone to use for high end emulation i.e. PSX, Genesis, etc? What smartphone has the fastest processor/is the fastest? Doesn't matter who the service provider is since I will be switching providers shortly. thx in advance.

Android is probably the best right now because it's a hot OS and everyone is developing for it. This is an article that i found.

You definitely want an Android device if you want emulators! On paper, the fastest Android devices for gaming are the Galaxy S, and the Motorola Droid line of phones. They both have separate, dedicated graphics processing units. The Android market has every emulator you named and more. You can't go wrong either way. Just keep in mind you will get better battery life build quality, and reception from the Droids. You will get a more colorful screen and slightly faster processor with the galaxy S.

Hope this helps. And welcome to Pinstack!

You can't learn anything if you're talking!
