    SIM Card & Edge Network

My town/city of 20000 to 25000 supposedly has a T-Mobile EDGE network, according to the T-Mobile rep I just spoke to on the phone.

I do have an EDGE connection until I enter the town from the east, then it changes to GPRS.

Once I cross over into the next town to the west the connection switches back to EDGE.

The rep says I may have a problem with my SIM card and he wants me to get it exchanged. I DO get EDGE connections with this phone, just not in my town.

I can literally see the tower on the mountain a few miles away from anywhere in town.

Does this really sound like a SIM card problem or a T-Mobile network problem?

I think its probably a mixture of both. Youre probably right on the edge of coverage, but a new SIM could also help, its worth a try IMO.
