Pearl Keyboard To Bold Or Curve Keyboard

For those of you who have had the Pearl:

Now that all of these newer BBs are coming out, how has the transition from SureType to a full keyboard been? My last QWERTY BB was a 7730 a few yrs ago. I'm looking at either the 9700, 8900, or 8520. Which one has been the easiest transition? Thanks

Since all three are the same width and height: 109mm x 60mm there is very little difference.

I'm using an 8900, and tried a friends 9700 today and its only a matter of a very subtle difference in the tactile feedback from the keys. So small than unless one had all three it would be impossible to differentiate. Since all three do the job, I would choose the BB you like best.

    9700 ftw.

it has the softer feel similar to the pearl (but not mushy) but the button size of the 8900 (without the annoying clicking noise) with the keyboard layout of a compact Bold. it's an excellent hybrid kb.

That's good. Hopefully it will work out for me. I failed to mention that I do have large hands along with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, though, so I wonder which one will be more comfortable.

I agree the trackpad is terrific. Too bad the "Real Bold 9000" didn't get the upgrade. Poor RIM they are so confused.
