    just a quick question..got a 8900 and want to transfer data from my 8320.
    i havve gone through a couple of threads and i guess i just hook up my old phone follow directions to transfer to new phone..CORRECT?
    well was wondering...when i do transfer this data to the 8900 will it be all gone from my 8320..im guessing nobut have to ask.

    one more question..doing this transfer will i have to still set up my e-mail or will it be ready to go?

    thats what you have to do, as for the email you need to switch the pin using the email setup option on your phone or bis carrier page...
    When i say i have Bold family phones, I meant it, from the older to the younger, even the unborn ;)

    ok, thanks..what about the losing the data from the curve 8320 when i do the transfer?

    I used the switch device wizard when I went from my 8120 to my 8900. All the data was still on my 8120 after the switch. I would guess that it copy's the data and settings.

    and just one more question...if i want to switch back to the 8320 for whatever reason do i have to switch back the PIN?

    Yes, you'll have to switch the PIN back.
    All your data will remain on the 8320.

    Just make sure you have DM installed. If you want, install the software versions you have on each phone to make sure you have no problems with the transfer, though you shouldn't.

    Switch the pin? you mean in the wizard? like from the 8900 to the 8320? Yes, you just run the switch device wizard again from the 8900 to the 8320. Is that what you are asking?
