Palm Files Complaint over iTunes Block on Pre Smartphone
Smartphone maker Palm has filed a complaint with the USB Implementers Forum, a nonprofit corporation founded by the group of companies that developed the Universal Serial Bus specification, charging that Apple is infringing on its trade by not allowing the company’s smartphone, the Pre, to connect to Apple’s popular iTunes application.

^^Would that open the doors for a BB and others to connect to iTunes or the Pre and others to have access to the BB Desktop Manager?
Well, not really. This is about itunes and the pre. And apple intentionally not allowing the pre to be recognized by itunes. Its not like Apple has to write special code to allow the pre to move music to it. but about apple writing code just to block the pre. Which is illegal i think.
