8350i Disassembly

I just got a black trackball to replace the white one on my 8350i, but disassembly is more difficult than on my old 8320. Anyone know where I could find directions to take it apart? I have searched everywhere and have not found an answer. I would appreciate any help greatly.

Ive spent two or three hours looking around too and havent seen anything.

This thread has my interest and if it doesnt get answered in a couple days, i may just go find a cheap one on craigslist or something and do a writeup...

First of all you have to open and pretty much put your phone apart. You have to purchase a kit with the right tools to open your phone and take the trackball out once you open your phone. I also purchased the black trackball but I'm just sticking with the white one. I rather not go through the hassle of opening a phone. Good luck!

all the other curves ive seen take 10 minutes tops to dismantle...small phillips head set and a small torx set and you should be good...my only concern is if its like the bold and how its got the extra little casing thing in it...it really shouldnt be too terribly complicated though

It's not like I haven't taken Blackberries apart before (Pearl, Curve, 8800). When I tried, the faceplate didn't want to come off but on my old 8320 it came off easy. That's why I'm asking here before I break anything.

you already have the ball assembly correct?

If so, swing by a sprint repair store and let them do it....it may cost say $20 or so but someone will do it

were you able to figure out the magic trick? i have taken apart curves all day long but this 8350i feels like i'm going to break something when attempting to get the sides off.
