    USCC BIS Upgrade, 2.0

OK, I didn't want to pre-announce this time, in case my information proved faulty again. But the change is in place. If you go to http://www.uscellular.blackberry.com and access your BIS account, you will be given the option to upgrade to 2.0.

As I mentioned last time, this REMOVES THE INBOX. Because storage is now unlimited, this should not be a problem unless you're used to reading the messages on the web site. This is no longer an option.

Also, the "@uscellular.blackberry.com" email address is no longer required. You can delete the existing one and create a whole new address if desired. BIS 2.0 (actually, a couple of our internal documents say it's 2.1, not yet confirmed) provides direct access now. With some services (Comcast, Yahoo, and GMail we've tried so far) deleting from the Blackberry device DELETES FROM THE ACTUAL ACCOUNT. Same with marking as read.

When you sign in, you'll get a page with good information about the change. READ IT!

    Thanks For the update.

The other Feature that has been removed in the transition between BIS 1.8 and BIS 2.x is the ability to use folders to manage email. If you are used to using Folders to manage your email on your BlackBerry, make sure you understand the implications of upgrading.

Yeah, I can imagine. We're a regional USA carrier. US Cellular. I was aware that a few of our users were already participating here, so I thought I'd post the announcement.

I didn't catch the folder thing. I'll have to look into that. I can see that causing trouble, too. I've already had one caller who didn't read the information and wanted the Inbox back. There is NO option to downgrade back. All new signups are 2.0, so even deleting the account doesn't work.
