I've been getting open tunnel failures with jivetalk(version .27) and just wanted to confirm my APN settings for Cingular. I've seen this:
APN - isp.cingular
U/N - ISPDA@CINGULARGPRS.COM
P/W - CINGULAR1

but I've also seen this:
APN - isp.cingular
U/N - ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
P/W - CINGULAR1

What are the differences with the setting? If I use the first one, I can't surf with opera mini. And I get a malformed address error with jivetalk. If I use the 2nd one, I can surf with opera mini, but I get open tunnel error with jivetalk.

I got jivetalk to work by using the following:
APN - wap.cingular
U/N - WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
P/W - CINGULAR1

but opera mini does not work anymore. I also posted on, http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...tml#post223560,
and someone said it was a bug with JiveTalk and that they are working on it.

Glad you got Jivetalk working. It sounds like the JT developer is working on the Opera Mini APN issue. From what I have seen, they are constantly making improvements to this Beta program before the final release. I wouldn't be surprised if this is taken care of soon.

So where do I enter this data?
Under Service Book -> WAP2 transport (WPTCP)?

I am trying to setup my 8703e from Sprint as a modem and I am following online instructions, they say I need my APN to connect as well as username and password. I looked through this forum and don't see any mention of the APN for sprint Could someone please post it for me. Thanks.

Hi guys

I had major issues trying to get Opera and Jive talk working on my o2 BB Pearl 8100 i used these settings. This problem was driving me nuts as i wanted to use a new browser other then the BB one

This actually works better then posted ones above

APN:mobile.02.co.uk
username: faster
password: password
