does anyone know how to configure (manually) for bb8100 the wap/gprs settings i.e setting the proxy etc?
im in nigeria using celtel normally the settings are sent OTA when you send a request sms, but in the case of the bb, i was told the device isnt on thier list of devices yet for OTA which means i have to do this manually.
gotten to tcp all it provides are APN: USERNAME: PASSWORD:
what happens to the proxy settings,how do i get there?
on other devices(sony ericsson,nokia) you can actually send the configurations from the product website to most carriers(yep!celtel inclusive)does the bb have this facility as well?
if it does,please do tell.

I am on a pay-as-u-go plan with t-mobile and cust svc told me that i cant have a bb data plan on my pearl that way. Does any service provider offer a pre-paid bb data plan or am stuck with having to sign a "lifetime" agreement with t-mobile?

But, I still cannot get Opera Mini to work though!!!!!!

hi everybody,,, i need ur help i have a pearl 8100 im from venezuela and i dont have ide how to configurate........ digitel conect the phone by gprs and my phone is t-mobile.....i isntalled opera mini but it doesnt work.......it says failed connect to the internet and the phone says data connection refused.......

Im the technical support for Blackberry in Etisalat. if you need any kind of information email me on vlestat123@gmail.com as i dont have a specific blackberry i change my device always as im testing devices.

Just in case anyone else is having the same problem - I was pulling my hair out trying to get network apps to work on my 8830 through Sprint. The problem wasn't the APN settings, the fix was wiping the device.
