TEZOU76, Welcome to PinStack. You will need to contact your carrier and sign up for a the Blackberry data plan. Does your carrier support blackberry devices? Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB. Rcbjr |

For those that are not aware, with Cingular you can also log or setup your account from a PC. You access your account online and click the link to auto set your MMS or Browser settings. It will give you a 4 digit pin code and you will then recieve a browser message telling you that their is an update for your phone and ask if you want to install. Click yes, and then enter the pin. Hope this helps |

| Re: TCP, APN, WAP, Gateway and Port Carrier Settings
Since 3 weeks I have a BB7230. Does anybody know WHERE i can enter the information. like the ip-address and the proxy. When I use options->TCP, I can only enter the APN settings. it is for Telfort in the Netherlands (In earlier days this was O2) |

| Re: TCP, APN, WAP, Gateway and Port Carrier Settings
Hello all, I have a BlackBerry 8700c on Cingular BIS. BBTV is pretty cool. I can get connected and download clips using: APN: isp.cingular Username: ISPDA@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 I cannot seem to add: WAP Gateway IP, WAP Gateway Port, Gateway IP or Port as those options are not available in my TCP Options. Is there a way to connect using Edge network or faster technology? My downloads are really slow, about 15 to 20 minutes per clip on the average. Also, should the changes I made to get this running negatively affect my browser and email download speed? Thanks in advance for any help or tips. |

bluesphere, Welcome to PinStack. Where are you located, you should be getting EDGE. I have never used the settings you have. I have WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM on my Pearl. The other settings you mention are usually set in the service books for the different browsers and services. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.
