    News pertaining to International Travel:

    Some countries have GSM/GPRS/EDGE carrier networks which operate on bandwidths typically used in the USA; 850 & 1900 MHz. If your device is from the USA and you are going abroad, make sure your BlackBerry Handheld Software is up to date, so you won't get stuck with a "Data Connection Refused" error and no way to manually select your network.

    This happens frequently with Cingular customers in Brazil lately... a newer carrier in that country has caused exactly the issue I've described above, and it can be tough to upgrade overseas, unless you always have your laptop and cable when you travel.
