If you go to settings > about phone > battery > battery use, what kind of percentages are you getting on cell standby and phone idle. This may not give me much info since you said you have not put it down - LOL!!

I am gonna try this (don't know if it will really do anything but will not hurt to try) - battery calibration

Someone on the US Cellular-Desire thread @ Howardforums claims this will help battery life

    This is directly from HTC:

To also help with Battery Life you can do these steps exactly:
    1) Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more
    2) Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour
    3) Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour
Your battery life should almost double, we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well.

I have read this battery tip is a once per month or less deal... you DO NOT have to do it everyday. If you are like me, I can charge the phone for 8 hours and that's about it, as I put it on before bed and take it off when I get up. We should all try it sometime this weekend and get a poll going or something to see if it helps.
    may be worth a try

Walkn....your going to have to get the server addresses to get out it work. Going to have to turn sence off to extend that batt life. Make sure gps is OFF as well. And wifi should be off every min your not using it. Those 2 things alone make up 60% of battery drainage.

What are you using vlingo for? The phone does speech to text already. If that's why you are using it.

Ok did not know that was there. That works pretty good but I think vlingo has better functionality - ought to give it a try. All i have to do is tap my vlingo widget and based on what i say it will open up a new text message and type out the message to the person i told it too. You can also set "safe reader" on for when you are driving and it will read incoming texts and email messages - neat but don't use this functionality.
