After having it for a week and a half the only day I had problems is this past Saturday around lunch time.

The phone went back and forth from 1X to 3G for a hour or so. I know one of the towers here in West Point, Ms is getting a fiber line sometime. Maybe they were doing that.

Also, as a side note, the Weather Widget on out Heros hasn't been updating for a week now. Shows the city, but no weather info. If you refresh, you get a "Connection Error" on both Cellular network and Wi-Fi. On saturday, the network wasn't even updating the time on our phones either. Had to manually set the time on both Heros.

I agree. In SW MS, it's either CSouth or AT&T. I hate to say that both are performing about the same around here lately. Oh well.

Does humidity and plant growth still affect reception in cell phones?

If anyone wants to see how you can get free apps off the market that aren't on 4shared, go here. This is gonna be cool as hell once I figure everything out. It looks kind of complicated. If someone else knows anything about this, or wants to show me how to do it gtalk me, getsuga.tensa@gmail.com

EVERYTHING pretty much affects reception in cell phones. More to do with the towers though rather than the actual phones themselves.

I have never been happier with my hero since 2.1! Even with the dialer lag(which goes away if you delete your call log anyways), It has so many new features, and apps to download that its hard to even imagine why everyone is complaining so much about it!

I'm enjoying the 2.1 update on my Hero for sure; I rooted and got rid of the dialer lag
I'm definitely looking forward to a better device, though.

What roms are you guys using? I haven't been able to find a good froyo that flash player works on.. Right now i'm using Aloysius from xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=663730 and it works like a dream but I would really like a few more.. I have tried several but hardly any don't force close on me or have lwps that actually work.

    Hey Emily,
I've only used the CS based ROMs so far, SouthPaw is what I'm running right now. I don't use LWPs, though. I've read where a few folks are using the Cyanogenmod 6.0 for CDMA Hero and having good luck with it, but I'm not sure which build is the best one, and I haven't gotten around to trying it out yet. It's a vanilla ROM, no SenseUI, though.
