    My new 8230 Flip

So i have had my new phone 3 days now and I
can honestly say it is much better than I expected.
with the bigger keypad 2 very nice screens. but best of
all is its awsome capability, the GPS connects 3-4 seconds
every time!!! my older pearl was 5-25 minutes...
i often get e-mails from Mercedes Bz and i can even open
their attachements even spread sheets, word docs, etc
maybe this isnt new to you guys, but my BB pearl was only
1 year old. it is a very nice, solid very functional blackberry.
all the guys at work are mouthwatering when they actually see\what it is. they thought it was just going to be a cute
flip smart phone. but high gloss black top with chrome trim
looks awesome... RIM won with me again 3 BB's all from
cell south. i am still learning new applications! this is cool!

no glitches, no freeze ups, it has twice the system memory but
i dont see it going down as i use like i did with 4.3 , so far it has still
won my faith in RIM. even though its a new product.

Smile New LG Touch Screen Phones

This question is to PMarshall. Will Cellular South get any new LG touchscreen phones? My reason for asking, is because I took a survey on the Cellular South Panel, for naming a few LG touch screen phones. They all looked very beautiful and
high tech. This was back in December.
Since then I haven't heard of any new update, regarding these phones. Even though they have the Samsung Finesse out, I don't think it holds a torch to an LG
touch screen. I started to get the Blackberry Flip, but I am trying to hold out. If you
have any information let me know.

Hey rod...the finess is an awesome phone...i think of it as a hybrid, its NOT a pda but does to email and full web browsing. I played with it last weekend while i was off and its a very nice phone. Ringers are loud, screen is nice and responsive, alot of usefull apps come pre installed which is nice. I like the phone all in all and would suggest it to anyone. Compared to a blackberry though...i dunno...lol. I think in this case its going to be all preferance to the user. The flip is actually a very NICE phone. I have had my demo for 2 weeks now and not one single issue. It performs well and the memory leak is so little you never know. Its def not like the old 4.3 os's all bb's had that had the terrible mem leak and deleted everything. Very fine phone. Cellular south is actually the only company Blackberry has made the ALL pink flip for, so we are pretty proud of that accomplishment! The HTC touch pro is about to launch too, those who do not know what that is, it is a Diamond but with a full slide out keyboard. The LG touch screen phones are not anything thats being mentioned so i have no info for ya on that one. The Spyder was def not a great phone so we HOPE LG comes with something better. Lg are great devices.

I have been told that the FInesse only works on WAP sites. Is that true?

I am a Cellular South customer living in Greenville, MS. My wife got a Curve about a month ago & now I want a new phone.MY KRZR just isn't cutting it. I am currently leaning towards a Blackberry, but The new Samsung has my attention since it does not require a data plan.
How is the Battery life of the Finesse?

pmarshall, thanks for clearing that up for me. I feel like giving either the Finesse or Pearl Flip a go. Does the Samsung Finesse have a wide variety of ringers? It appears to be a nice device. Also, do you know the release date for the Motorola
    Evoke or HTC Touch Pro?
I have an old Motorola v323i flip phone that's fading out on me. That's why I am
making sure that I make the right choice of phone. I have been a devout Cellular South customer since 1997 and I must agree with you, Cellular South is definitely
    on the uprise.

Hey, the finess batt was pretty good...did a few hrs of game playing on it and it seemed to hold up pretty good. The flip was great too.. os 4.6 is so smooth and nice...its a much vibrant screen and does use a lil more enerygy to be on but you will be very happy with it!

Pmashall, I have 2 questions. What is the advantage of 4.6 over 4.5? Also is there a way to get CSouth TCP parameters (if we even have them!)? There's an app on bb appworld,Xenzu, that will stream youtube IF you can get the TCPs.No saving and deleting later. Thanks
