I have not tried it yet but considering testing it out on my iPad. I'm just not so sure I feel like poking holes in my shinny new bundle of joy.
I need to set aside time to fix it just in case I mess it up.

this program is sexy, I don't have to worry about my phones battery going dead or my phone randomly rebooting.
+1 to anyone wanting to use this

This worked for me on firmware 3.1.3. The only issue I had was that all my pictures and videos were gone. Since I did a backup before jailbreaking, all I had to do was restore from backup and it put it all back. Very pleased!!!!

Jailbroke my iPod Touch 3G (using the tethered method) in under 10 seconds and everything I had on it is exactly where I left it, including my pics.

Spirit is for Jailbreaking the 3.1.3 OS. But no unlock.

I personally wouldnt mess with Spirit. 4.0 around the corner, but for those who say they accidentaly updated, this will JB it just not unlock.

Oh and this will JB your iPad too.

If you have a new bootrom 3GS spirit is for you anyone who has old bootrom 3GS stick with blackra1n.

I personally restored and jailbroke just so I could turn my phone off & on without having to worry about being near a computer with itunes and blackra1n.

I used spirit to JB my 3Gs and had no issues. I'll toy with it until 4.0 is released and hopefully they will have a functional JB for that too.

Looks like they fixed the deleting photos issue "Update (May 3): I've updated the jailbreak tool. It no longer deletes photos (sorry!) and should resolve the issue with error code c0000005. (If you still get that error with the new version, try setting compatibility mode to Windows 95.)"
