cjeezy - Sorry, but you're doing something wrong. I've attached screenies showing you exactly how mine is setup, and it works!

If you want, post up the text you want for your lockscreen, I'll make it for you and I'll post it up so you can SSH it into your iPhone, this way, you can see how it's setup and how it works, you have to be doing something wrong.

Here's what I got in i-funBox. Then I went to ifile, found the String file and added a name between the " ". After that I went to Winterboard and activated the My Slider and then resprung.

One thing I did notice, the text for the slider that pops when you hold the power button down is gone. Not a big deal just something I noticed

Hey Bee, if I want to keep the defaults for some of the labels do I just delete that entire string? For example, the "Slide_to_answer" = " " Would I just delete this whole thing for it to return to the default or do I have to retype the "slide to answer" between the " "?

cjeezy - No, to keep it, you HAVE to type it in, removing the type/text means NOTHING will be there...that's what happened to your power down slider text, you didn't put any text there ("POWER_DOWN_LOCK_LABEL" = "______"), the SpringBoard.strings file I gave you are empty, you have to enter in the text.

Got everything set up now! Quick question, for giggles I removed the folders just to see if the default labels came back and they did not. Not that I plan on using the defaults, but was still wondering why.

cjeezy - Removed the folders? What do you mean, like in iFile or through SSH you deleted them?

To get the stock text back, all you have to do is uncheck your custom slider text (you made) in WinterBoard

For any of you guys interested or who may not know there has been an update (2.5) for installous. I haven't used it yet to list the changelog but it is a better looking installous.
