Do I need to change the format (MP3s) of my Limewire music to put in my iTunes?

Yeah, I probably should know this.

I just add my mp3 files to my iTunes list and I guess it changes it. Btw I don't use limewire. Too buggy and full of Trojans.

Well, I havent used it since I got my iPhone and I was downloading some stuff, and my iTunes recognized it and started playing it, and showing album covers, but I cant add it like youd normally think.
