Blackberry data plans Costs vary with your carrier and what plan you get. You will need to contact your own carrier for pricing. As to emailing without one, the answer is no, it can't be done. Without a BB Data Plan, you do not have access to any data services, including BB Messenger. All you will have is Phone and SMS/MMS based services.

All that being said, your profile indicates that you have access to a company provided BES. That should give a BB Data Plan, so you can access what ever services your company IT department allows from your BB.

oh i guess im just gonna have to chuck away my bb im only 13 which means i cant have contract bttw i had my it policy removed wat does that mean its totlally lame th bb without havin the data plan wats the point in owning one btw my mum owns a buisness does this mean i can get a special type of data plan

An IT policy means someone used the BlackBerry on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server at their job. You could get a BlackBerry Internet Service account through the carrier in her name since you are not old enough to get a contract yourself.

I have Cingular and have the blackberry unlimited, but only 100 text messages, does a PIN count as a text message or just like a email?

PIN messages use the Blackberry Data Network and are counted as data and do not deduct from your SMS message count.

Yes, Navilyn, to any BB device that is on a BB Data plan, has a network connection and does not have an IT Policy installed that blocks Pin to Pin. I think that covers most of it.

Yes, it goes to the Messages List. You can set up a filter using the Messages App Search Feature so that an ALT+Key combo will show only PINs, in order to find just Pin Messages.
