    Thinking about upgrading

Hi everyone. New member here thinking about upgrading to a 7105t from T-Mobile. Any pros and cons about the 7105t? I have a 7100t which worked great except for the signal.

    1. The reception, with T-mobile is a problem. Check the reception at you area before jumping to T-Mobile. Better screen visability indoor but little difficult to use outdoor. Display could have been more powerful.

Personaly, I'd stick with the 7100 and upgrade to the 8700 when available.

You said your main problem was reception; AFAIK the 7105 doesn't get much better reception than the 7100 anyway. The screen is nicer on the 7105, but unless you hold them next to eachother I don't think you'll really see that much difference (unless you work outside all the time).

I will be calling tmobile to get that 7105t as my Sidekick just lost signal for the final time after only 3 weeks.

    Re: Thinking about upgrading

I am going to wait for the 8700... or whatever else comes next. I have waited this long. I don't think there is enough different in the 7105 to justify getting it to replace my 7100. I would just get an unlocked (or unlock myself) 8700.

    Re: Thinking about upgrading

I had to go ahead and get the 7105 today (long story) but if I had the time to wait, I would have. I hope this one lasts a while because I had to get it asap to replace my Sidekick 2 which crapped out over the weekend.

well, to replace a SK2, go for it. What happened to it out of curiosity. Up until a week or so ago my husband played solitare on my SK@, but it has been worse and worse about not recharging until it finally seemed to not charge. It is not that the battery will not take the charge but instead it seems that the connection in the phone to the charger is loose and only wants to connection under perfect conditions.

I got my 7105t a few days ago and LOVE IT. I am happy I bought it but probably won't be so happy when I see the bill in the mail.
