Thumbs down Synchronization of desktop through USB

    Hi,

I am new to the forum, but have a question. I use a BB7750, and would like to use it to synchronize my desktop through Outlook for emails, address book, tasks and calender. I use BB Desktop Manager v 4.1.0.8. I like to do this without using wireless by directly connecting onto the computer through USB connection. All my attemps have failed so far. Here is what I get in the Viewlog file when I try to synchronize. Can anyone help me please?

    Thanks

    Curious

To sync Wirelessly, you must have an email account connected to a BlackBerry ENTERPRISE Server (BES). BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) can not sync anything wirelessly. (No, not even Yahoo Mail Plus doesn't SYNC - it will replicate deletes, but that's it - not even Read/Unread).

This is typically provided through a corporate email system, but hosted BES accounts are available - I'm sure a quick search here will turn up one or twenty!

Of course, if you're so inclined, you could always set up your own Exchange server and get FREE BlackBerry Express - a limited (10 user?) license for BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

And if you would like to synch your outlook adress book you'll need another version of DM 'cause DM 4.1 is too new to work the older BB like yours
I'm french canadian so I can also help you in french, just PM me
UNLESS it is for a BETA OS, it's at your own risk and I won't support it

    Curious4, Welcome to PinStack.

If you need a older version of the Desktop manager look here, Desktop Software Downloads. And it will not sync email.
