    Smile new to blackberry

I need to purchase a blackberry relatively soon and can't wait for the 8700 to come out for Verizon. Since my choices are limited, I see that the major difference between te 7250 and the 7130 is 32mb memory. How does that equate in Blackberry data. I have many contacts in Outlook and can save my emails in a .pst if need be on my pc, so is that a problem. Please advise.
    Thanks in advance.

For starters, I'd say that the main difference between the 7250 and 7130 is that the 7130 is a suretype device and the 7250 is a qwerty.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

In addition to double the memory, the 7130 also has 4x the RAM. It also has a much faster intel processor.

PLUS: the 7130 is EDGE. The 7250 has none of these, and is pretty much finished its lifetime.

You won't be able to do much "customising" on the 7250. And whatever you do will be slow and unresponsive.

    Oh wait, you said Verizon...

Scratch EDGE and replace with EV-DO. And the 7130e doesn't have intel, but it does have 4x the RAM.

    Re: new to blackberry

Thanks for the info everyone...this is my first time on a site like this and it's great so far. Today is the 28th and hopefully Verizon will release the 8700. If not, the 7130 doesn't sound so bad. Thanks again.

    Re: new to blackberry

I would go to the store and try out both devices and see which one you are more comfortable with and which one meets your needs.
