Medical folks using BB...the doctor is IN!

Any medical folks here? I am a physician using BB8100 and would love to hook up with other people in the medical/paramedical field using BBs. I am a long-time Palm (Treo) user and have switched back and forth between the two gadgets (no love for windoze) but now, have decided to stay with the BB.

Anyway, am interested to know how your BB is helping in your day-to-day medical activities.

That is cool, StaceyRVC. I am all for technology making physicians work more efficiently. I am, I guess, a handful of physicians who have switched over to the BB as an all-in-one device. Palm has been around for a long time so there are lots of medical apps for it, but I am glad that there are now quite a line up of essential medical apps for the BB, too.

Have you incorporated EMR into your practice yet? If not check into MediNotes. I am a certified trainer for them. I could probably help you out a bit. My company has a website it is www.icssoftware.net

I am a Firefighter / EMT and a Emergency Medical Dispatcher. I just got my BB recently, so I have not had a whole lot of time to see how much it could help me in the field. Maybe the maps. I am totally new to the BB's so I have a lot to learn.

For me, the most important medical software is a drug database app. There are now quite a few out there (LexiDrugs, PEPID, Tarascon Pharmacopeia). I would love to have a patient tracking application and maybe some medical calculators. I have seen Handbase coming out with a BB version of their application, too.
