    JVM ERROR 547

    I have a curve 8320 and i woke up and saw a white screen stating i have a JVM ERROR 547. can anyone tell me how to resolve this...i tried going to safe mode and rest but nothing works>>>HELP!!!!!!!!

    Sorry to hear about your device issues. I hope you have been making backups of your device because you're going to need to reinstall your OS.

    i have been backing up for a bit but my desktop manager doesn't detect my bb>>is there a way i can remove the current os and replace with a new one?

    Yes, download an app to your PC called BBSAK from www.bbsak.org.

    Make sure Desktop Manager is closed down completely, connect your device then launch BBSAK. It'll ask you for a password.....just click OK. Select the option to Wipe Device and this should leave you with a error 507, which means it was successful.

    Disconnect your device.

    Then, if you haven't already, download the OS for your device. You can probably find it at wireless.att.com/bbdownloads. If your carrier is AT&T you're good to go, otherwise do this:

    On your PC, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader. Delete the file at the bottom called vendor.xml.

    Connect your device.

    In the same folder towards the top is an executable called Loader. Double click on that and it should start loading your OS.
