    Hello everyone,
Joe here from California with a few questions regarding my BB7520.
Is there software out there where I can edit the phone files? I am using the latest 4.2 software with IT enabled so I cant even check my yahoo mail. Whenever I try loading software I get a restricted message.
Can someone please help me so I can load google maps without having the IT Policies blocking everything?
I believe the company is using Bes.
    Thanks in advance,
    Joe.

Hey there Joe, unfortunately you can't do anything without IT permission. They set the policies for their BB's.... Welcome to Pinstack though...

    italianbello, Welcome to PinStack.

And just a word of warning, don't attempt to modify/replace the IT policy. The Admins will be able to tell, and it's considered a violation of company policy and can result in disciplinary action.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB.

    Hi,
I had to create another account because I was unable to logon with my user name and password and I did not get anything sent to my email.

So is there a way I can download gps software without getting an error message? The phone has a built in gps receiver and I would love to take advantage of it. I really dont want to pay $10 a month when gps is free. I went to blackberry.com/maps and tried downloading maps but it would stop at 12% and the site would just lockup. Maybe I need software for the maps? I use the blackberry desktop manager to connect...
    Any ideas??
I have my own personal phone to play around with (Cingular 8525) so I am not looking to get in trouble with the IT department, I just want to use the gps option.
    Thanks in advance,
    Joe.
