    Hi, I'm a new 7105t user and can't connect with computer

    I have a new HP dv800t with XP Pro SP2 and once uploaded my Contacts to my 7105t using DM and the included USB cable. When I tried to update contacts 3 days ago, the Hardware message came back with "cannot install this hardware, there was problem installing this hardware; RIM Handheld. An error occurred during the installation of the device. The system cannot find the file specified.
    The Desktop Manager indicates that the BB is "disabled". When I tried to enable using hardware detect, a driver cannot be found.
    I am still waiting for T mobile to reply... can anyone help? :cry:

    Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the DM? What version of software (DM and handheld) are you using?

    Hi kid, welcome to pinstack. I was thinking the same thing, uninstall the DM and reinstall it. Let us know how it goes.

    kidvicious, Welcome to PinStack.

    I seem to remember that someone has stated that the required BB USB drivers are not always included or automatically installed from CD rom when installing Desktop Manager. If you used that. look for the drivers on the CD and try installing thems separately.

    hi all, thanks, but I have uninstalled and reinstalled DM twice.. problem seems to be the driver due to the error message from Windows. I'll try looking for the driver on the CD and get back

    just uninstalled and reinstalled... same problem.. in the DM, the RIM USB Driver 1.1.0.2 is listed, but the BB still can't be found. Any other ideas?

    in response to Williamlc21, I had also downloaded the latest DM from T-Mobile's site with the same result. Right now I have 4.01.12

    So, was KidVicious' problem ever solve in Oct'06? I have the very same situation with my 7105t today! need some help.
