    What exactly caused the "crash"?

Generally speaking, I think 3 software crashes, meaning you have to restore using DM, is not normal. You may want to get a new device.

I'm not sure.It usually happens while checking messages ,etc.A black screen, reboot and the error loop.New one should be here Monday. We'll see how it goes.

How much free space do you have on the device?

IMHO, even one "crash" is completely unacceptable especially in this day and age! There's too many Smartphones, from many manufacturers, that are extremely stable and there's no reason you should tolerate this sub-par device. Hopefully your replacement is better!
